━━ What is the speed warning chime? ━━

Between 1974 and 1986, all Japanese vehicles were required to have speed alarms. The purpose of this speed alarm is to remind the driver of their vehicle's speed when it exceeds a certain limit (approximately 100 km/h for ordinary passenger cars and 80 km/h for light cars), evoking memories of the chimes from that era.

• Speedometer
• • The speedometer indicates the current speed based on GPS satellite signals received by your Android device.
  • You can switch the display unit between "km/h" and "MPH" using the lower right switch.
  • The meter can display speeds ranging from 0 to 180 km/h (MPH).
  • An additional function is available (for a fee) allowing you to set the highest speed from four options (60, 180, 240, 360, and 1500).
  • The left side indicator (satellite icon) beneath the meter shows the GPS signal receiving status. The indicator turns red when GPS signals are blocked, such as in buildings or tunnels, and green when signals are received correctly.
• Speed warning chime
• • When you exceed the set speed limit, the speed warning indicator beneath the screen lights up in red, and the application produces a "dingdong" speed warning chime.
  • You can change the set speed by tapping the Setting button and moving the red needle displayed on the screen with your finger.
  • Occasionally, the speed-warning chime may sound slightly off-tempo to replicate the feel of chimes from the 70s and 80s. This is intentional and not a software bug.
  • This application software does not have a volume adjustment function. Adjust the sound using the volume control on your Android device.
• Travelling distance
• • The meter displays the distance traveled while the application software is active. The distance is measured in kilometers (or miles).
  • The upper display shows the odometer value, accumulating until you uninstall the application software.
  • The lower display shows the trip meter value, which can be reset by tapping the Reset button.
• Warning lamp (rightmost lamp)
• • The rightmost indicator beneath the meter lights up when a "certain condition" is met.
